HISTORY
Banga Elementary School has no records available as to the exact date when the school was established, as the school was razed down to ashes, including all of its records during the Japanese invasion of the town. Only a sketchy background could be gleaned from people who were early graduates of the school and who are still alive to tell the story.
According to these sources, it has already been a complete elementary school since prewar times. However, after the war, there was an influx of pupils who went back to school. The rooms available could not accommodate the great number of enrollees, so the grades five and six pupils were housed in an annex at the Bacan Elementary School, where the area was much bigger. However, the intermediate grades were located at Brgy. Bacan, they were still part of Banga Elementary School. Through the years, Banga Elementary School has grown in size and population. Today, it occupies two blocks of the town square, a block for Compound I and the other for Compound II. Compound I houses the primary grades and other structures with an area of 6348 square meters. The Intermediate grades occupy Compound II with an area of 4649 square meters. Recent additions are the Special Education classes for the hearing-impaired and mentally challenged individuals and the Division Library Hub, which dominate the forefront of said compound.
At present, there are forty-five (45) regular permanent teachers and four (4) non-teaching personnel comprising the teaching and non-teaching staff headed by Mrs. Herline N. Teodosio, School Principal II.
