Year 1994, Dumatad Primary School was built with proponent and requested by the late Hon. Felixberto S. Sanglitan, former Barangay Captain and member of Councilmen, they aim to had a school in this barangay. In the year 1995, the school was finished and established under the leadership of Hon. Eden T. Gelito a newly elected Barangay Captain. Under the supervision of Mrs. Aploren A. Bereber, Public Schools District supervisor. The first multigrade teacher was Mrs. Desiree A. Campos and same time Teacher In- Charge, with an enrolment of 25 in Grade I and 20 in Grade II. After 3 years of service from 1995 to 1998 Mrs. Campos was transferred in her home barangay at Tamalagon Elementary School now Tamalagaon Integrated School. Year 1998, Mrs. Juvy P. Trinidad replaced Mrs. Campos as multigrade teacher and Teacher In- Charge until she transferred in 2001 at Dapdap Elementary School. After succeeding years, Mrs. Ailyn D. De la Cruz was appointed as multigrade teacher and Teacher In- Charge in 10 long years after she transferred in her barangay at Jawili Elementary School now Jawili Integrated School. Mr Hector S. Sulbod open arms to accept another challenged to become a multi- grade teacher and Teacher In- Charge. Upon his leadership the enrolment was increased every year and additional teacher were deployed there as Municipal School Board.

In the year 2012 the KALAHI- CIDSS was introduced in the Municipality of Tangalan. With the effort Barangay Council thru the eagerness, dream and dedication of Hon. Jaypee P. Alayon, Sannguniang Barangay Member, Chairman in Education and appointed Punong Barangay, he grabbed the opportunity as proponent of the project 1 Building; 2 Classroom with complete amenities worth 1.2 million pesos with the helped of Mr. Loreto C. Torneo President BSPMC and Mrs. Gina Fe De Jesus BSPMC Treasurer respectively, with the supportive Public Schools District Supervisor, Mr. Jesse E. Bereber. Thru this project, it helped to the learners and parents too to save the money for transportation going to adjacent school or in the town for schooling. This dream was turned to reality for Mr. Elias T. Valentine legacy in his barangay for Dumatadnon to have its own school.

Torneo, President of BSPMC; Mrs. Gina Fe De Jesus, BSPMC Treasurer; and the rest of the council members grabbed the opportunity to propose the 1-story classroom building project with complete amenities worth 1.2 million pesos. This project helped a lot by complementing the schools’ classroom deficiencies, which turned Mr. Elias T. Valentin’s dream a reality and now a legacy.
  
In the year 2015 and 2016 other blessings for Dumatad Elementary School one classroom from KALAHI- NCDDP and another classroom from Department of Education was built. On that year the Dumatad Primary School was converted to Dumatad Elementary School as complete elementary with a great pride and honor for the accomplishment of Mr. Hector S. Sulbod, the Teacher In- Charge. Year 2017 first Graduation Ceremonies was held with 29 competitive graduates, under the leadership of Mr. Joni T. Antaran, Principal In- Charge of the District.

Blessings continue to arrive in Dumatad Elementary School as one classroom from KALAHI-NCDDP and another classroom from the Department of Education were built from 2015 to 2016. In that year, Dumatad Primary School was converted to Dumatad Elementary School under the leadership of Mr. Hector S. Sulbod, Teacher-in-Charge. The first graduation ceremony was held in 2017 with 29 quality and competitive graduates.
 
 
In the year 2017 the first ever graduation ceremonies were celebrated for Dumatad Elementary School. This accomplishment was spearheaded by Mr. Hector S. Sulbod, Teacher In- Charge and was promoted to Tibiao Elementary School as Head Teacher I.

Description of Significant Milestones

Dumatad Elementary School is competitive in different contest from the District to Division level. The school participated in contest and activities like Quiz Bee in Araling Panlipunan and other subject area. The school also excel in sports competition. Arvin M. Roy, first ever in the history of Dumatad Elementary School competed in Western Visayas Regional Athletic meet won as 4th place in Discuss and 5th place Shot put.

The teachers were also participants of trainings, and seminars for professional development.

The school today is in good and on-going beautification to cater more learners in the barangay.

The school was used as evacuation center during typhoon, the issue of outsiders and stray animals who enter the school premises during weekends or no classes.
