DESCRIPTION
A. Physical Description
Exterior- Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) of Libacao Central Elementary School is located at Rizal Street, Poblacion, Libacao, Aklan. It is a rectangular structure built in concrete with six classrooms. Each classroom has a 6x7.5 meters. Usually with galvanized iron (GI) sheet roofs and doors. The back part of the building has a concrete perimeter fence used to safeguard the premises of the school. It has a landscape in front of the school building.
Interior- The ground floor is cemented, the roofing and ceiling are made of GI sheets, plywood, galvanized iron, steel and bolts. Partition wall in each classroom is made of plywood and wood. The long layer of metal bars measure of 1.16 meters width, which mounted along walls that provide ventilations. While the floor area per classrooms measure 42 square meters. The doors were made of whole metal sheet that lasted up to the present.
B. History of the Structure
Free education for all elementary school children was the program of the government during President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. This is the reason why Libacao Elementary School had the Marcos Pre- Fabricated building. It was designed and built during Pres. Marcos Sr. Luckily, one of the recipient of this program is the Libacao Elementary School now Libacao Central Elementary.
Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) is an academic classroom building and was constructed in the year 1970.The oldest building aging 53 years. This was constructed under the building was under the supervision of the late School Principal, Mr. Sofronio Z. Soriano. This two (2) span Pre- Fabricated building is located at the right side of the school ground. Some of the former teachers who occupied the said building were Mrs. Veronica Margarico, Mrs. Loenila P. Armiza, Mrs. Dellie N. Orbista, Ms. Adelaida I. Zonio, Mrs. Aliena M. Ramos, Mrs. Nilda S. Zante, Ms. Ermilyn Nagtalon and Mrs. Jean Z. Idala.
Sometime in 1992, another classroom was built in between the two spans connecting and creating one room, thus making it into 7 classrooms. This building caters Grade 4 and 5 learners from different barangays in Libacao. The building serves as a Grade 5-Star, Grade 4-B, Grade 5-D, Grade 5-C, Grade 5-A and Grade 5-B, Grade 4-C classrooms up to this time of existence.
After 53 years of occupancy, Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) was restored and repaired to make it conducive for learning.

STORIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE STRUCTRE
Based from former teachers, namely Mrs. Aliena M. Ramos and Mrs. Jean Z. Idala retired teachers of Libacao Central Elementary School who served as advisers and subject teachers in Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type), the back portion of their classroom was utilized and used as vegetable garden in support to the Green Revolution Program of the government. The vegetables that they harvested were cooked for the feeding program of the school.
According to Mrs. Jean Z. Idala and Mrs. Aliena M. Ramos, they spared time to convene and eat together in the Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building “Masadya’t ah kami ay dungan kami ga kaon kon mag recess. Turno-turno kami sa pagdaea it napamahaw namon.” Manami gid ah ay naga ililimaw kami sa pagkaon. Pagkatapos man namon it pamahaw balik man kami sa among mga classroom. Duyon pirmi among routine kon recess.”
Way back in 1983, the temporary Libacao National Forestry National High School classrooms where attached to the Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type). Both the pupils of Libacao Elementary School and the students used to climb in the railings of the building and they peeped at the other side of the room as if they are apt for something of their curiosity.
SIGNIFICANCE
HISTORICAL
This Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) serves as a Grade 5 Classrooms for 53 years. Grade 5 pupils from neighboring barangays learned and experience many things in this building a number of decades already.
Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) serves as evacuation area for natural calamities like typhoon and earthquakes. Also, one of the polling precincts during National and Barangay Election.
SOCIAL
Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) served as venue for different contests and gatherings of the school and community. The sleeping quarters of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts during encampment activities. Billeting during District, and Unit Palaro. It also serves as venue during Alumni Homecoming where Alumni and Alumnae share their memorable stories and experiences of their elementary days.
SOCIOECONOMIC
This building has been an instrument in producing successful graduates who became professionals. The parents saved transportation and weekly allowance in sending their Grade 5-Learners in other places. Graduates of the school became professionals and earned income for their family. Thus, inspiring the economic status of the locality by raising the employment rate.

Remarks: Marcos Pre- Fabricated School Building (Marcos Type) was repaired but remained on its original site since 1970.
C. CONSTRAINTS/THREATS/ISSUE
The possible threats for the structure are natural disasters such as earthquake, typhoon and fire. Intruders can also be a threat. School building needs for major repair.
D. CONSERVATION MEASURES
The conservation measure is to protect, preserve and maintain its structure.
