A Lighted Torch The lighted torch stands for the purpose of education to serve as the guiding light which enables everyone to see the path towards a bright future and eradicating the darkness of ignorance. It also symbolizes honor, success, and victory.
Inner Circle The inner circle stands as hub of the institution. It stands for unity and a binding force of the school administrator, teachers, stakeholders, and community.
Outer Rim The outer rim contains educational institution with its location.

NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION

The school was founded during the Pre-War Era through the initiative of local leaders and with the help of American Educators. Since then, the institution became the center of elementary education in the municipality catering enrollees coming from the nearby municipalities and barangays. In 1920, when a Gabaldon school building was the first school building that is made of wood and galvanized iron ladder as structure design. It symbolizes the first foundation of the Philippine public school system where every Filipino was given the opportunity to have access to proper education. Some of the former Teachers of Libacao Elementary School were Mrs. Leonila P. Armiza, Mrs. Perpetua Zaspa, Mrs. Godelia Solsona, Mrs. Florenda I. Zonio, Mrs. Estelita Placer, Ms. Rizalina Z. Dala , Mrs. Alicia Z. Isagan and many more.

Libacao Central Elementary School (LCES) was formerly named as Libacao Elementary School and was established in the year 1930. Dr. Ma. Daphne Y.O. Villorente was the School Principal II and at the same time the Principal-In-Charge of the District when Libacao Elementary School was changed to Libacao Central Elementary School, in the Year 1989. It is located at Roxas St., Poblacion, Libacao, Aklan. It has a land area of 16,325 square meters from the Municipality of Libacao where the 19 buildings are located. Of these 19 buildings, there are 27 classrooms, 1 Principal’s Office, 1 Home Economics Building, 1 District Office, 1 Nutrition Center, 1 Bagong Lipunan Building (Grade 6 Star, A, B, C) 1 Library with E-Classroom, 1 Bagong Lipunan Building (Kindergarten to Grade 3-A & B) Grade 3-Star, 1 Industrial Arts Room, Cywest Building Conference Room, Grade 4-C, Grade 5-B, 5-A, 5-C, 5-D, 5-Star, Grade 4-Star, VEG Room, Grade 4-A ,Libacao Community Learning Center (LCLC), District Office and Currently, the school has Covered Court which was donated by MAGDALO Party list through Sen. Antonio F. Trillanes IV, Cong. Gary C. Alejano, Kag. Anthony I. Lachica Gen. PTA President, Mrs. Nelife A, Inosanto, School Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Mrs. Girly O. Rufin, Mr. Melchor Z. Ortega, and Mrs. Jade R. Ruiz, School Principal III. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) constructed toilet for Person with Disabilities (PWD) and Elderlies/Senior Citizens INCL Gender Responsive.

At present, there are thirty (32) regular permanent teachers, four (4) Non-Teaching Personnel and (2) Utility Aides composing the Teaching and the Non-Teaching Staff under the leadership of Mrs. Jade R. Ruiz, School Principal III.

DESCRIPTION OF SIGNIFICANT MILESTONES

It was in the year 1962 when Libacao Elementary School won 1st Place as the Cleanest and Most Beautiful School Grounds in the whole Philippines under the supervision of Mr. Henry M. Ruiz, School Principal and the utility worker was Mr. Eliodoro Z. Ortega. After winning that award, many visitors coming from different municipalities and province visited the school. After a year one (1) additional utility worker in the person of Mr. Anacleto Z. Irodistan a temporary janitor and later hired as permanent utility worker as incentive for winning.

Libacao Central Elementary School (LCES) is a center of excellence and a leading institution in the District of Libacao with competent teachers producing quality graduates which are competitive both in academic and extracurricular activities. The school was also awarded as a Three-Star School in Wash in School Program (WinS) Program of the Department of Education. Also a consistent winner in the District and Division Levels during the Search for Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools Elementary Level - Large Category from School Year 2015, 2017,2018 and 2019.

The school focused in the academic performance of learners and in the training of children in Sports specifically in Badminton and Volleyball both for boys and girls. Athletes and coaches of the said event represented the Division of Aklan during the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet (WVRAA) and even in Palarong Pambansa. Aside from this, many of our teachers and pupils garnered awards in the District, Division, Provincial and even in the Regional Level Competitions especially in Mathematics, Filipino, Science, Technology and Livelihood Education, English and Araling Panlipunan. The school has also participated actively in Scouting activities, Technolympics, and Scilympics.

LCES Teaching Staff and pupils has shown mastery, versatility, and competitiveness in order to win in the different contests in different learning areas.

In the history, when Libacao Elementary School now Libacao Central Elementary School produced successful graduates in different professions like, Education, Medicine, Law, Priesthood, Business Management, Information and Communication Technology, Agriculture, Criminology, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Seafarers, Marine Engineering/Transportation, and all other professions.
