NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION

In a distant town strategically located 30 kilometers south of Kalibo, the business capital of Aklan, and 35 kilometers away from the Schools Division Office, the seeds of a remarkable educational institution were sown at the foot of the hill in Poblacion, Libacao. The once-empty land became a hive of learning. The opportunity to attend school was extended to all, where the doors of education stood wide open, offering an equal chance for all to enter the realm of knowledge.

The year was 1965, a time when the community yearned for a place of learning and growth, a beacon of knowledge that would shape the lives of generations to come. Thank God for the philanthropic Nabor-Zausa family's generous donation of the lot, which totaled 27, 504 sq. m. (2.7 hectares) and was intended for the school's creation. It began with a collective vision, a shared dream of empowering young minds and fostering a love for education.

It all started with a common goal: the empowerment of young minds and the promotion of a love of learning. An important turning point in the local educational landscape was reached with the school's opening by the Secretary of Education, Juan Manuel.

Mr. Napoleon Z. Dala, a former mayor of Libacao, and Mr. Sofronio Z. Soriano, the school's officer-in-charge principal at the time, spearheaded the initiative.

After then, Dr. Ma. Daphne Y.O. Villorente, while appointed principal in the District of Libacao, was recommended and requested as Principal In-charge of the Libacao Barangay High School and has worked hard to prepare the institution for nationalization.

Through Batas Pambansa Blg. 140, February 8, 1982, An Act Converting the Libacao Barangay High School in the Municipality of Libacao, Province of Aklan, into a National Forestry Vocational High School, the school was eventually nationalized.

LNFVHS is classified now as a large secondary school under the jurisdiction of the Schools Division of Aklan. STORIES AND NARRATIVES

PARANORMAL NARRATIVES

According to local hearsay, there are whispers and tales circulating about the school that is rumored to be haunted by the presence of lady ghosts.

Even now, there are still some incidents of this nature, but despite all of this, the school continues to be the center of learning, which adds to its distinctive atmosphere. It serves as a reminder that sometimes the pursuit of the unknown and the ethereal can coexist.

Furthermore, the presence of ghost stories fosters a sense of camaraderie and bonding among students. Shared experiences and common folklore create a tight-knit community that relishes the excitement and intrigue surrounding the school. Learners who value a sense of belonging and shared narratives are drawn to excite, and the school becomes a hub of chitchatting and socialization.

Fate has a way of spinning unanticipated tales, and the gloomy atmosphere at the school was replaced with one of magic and romance. As a result, word started to get around among the students that the forest had changed its purpose and become a hotspot for dating. Stories of blossoming romances and admiration were shared in whispers that echoed through the four-walled classroom, upstairs, and through hallways carried tales of budding romances and admiration.

It all began innocently enough, with students exchanging timid smiles and shy glances in the forest park during forestry class. The peacefulness of the forest seemed to have a mystical power that drew people together. Conversations that once centered on the characteristics of the soil and the types of trees have changed to personal stories and dreams. The forest quickly turned into an unwitting accomplice in students excitement and romances.

HISTORICAL

LNFVHS (Libacao National Forest and Vocational High School) takes great pride in being the only secondary forest school in the Philippines. This distinction sets LNFVHS apart and highlights its unique focus on environmental education and sustainability.

As a forest school, LNFVHS offers a curriculum that integrates traditional academic subjects with hands-on experiences and knowledge about forest ecosystems, conservation, and sustainable practices. Students at LNFVHS given the opportunity to engage directly with nature, develop a deep appreciation for the environment, and gain practical skills related to forestry and conservation with the presence of a forest park inside the school.

As the only secondary forest school in the Philippines, LNFVHS serves as a model for integrating environmental education into the mainstream curriculum. It aims to cultivate a generation of environmentally conscious individuals who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to address environmental challenges and contribute to the sustainable development of their communities.

AESTHETIC

LNFVHS as a forestry school with a forest park on the hilltop inside the school would be a harmonious blend of nature, education, and tranquility. The students were immersed in the beauty of the surrounding forest, which provided a conducive environment for learning and exploration.

With forest trails and walkways designed through the forest, allowing students to explore and connect with nature, the overall aesthetic of a forestry school with a forest park inside creates an environment that fosters a deep connection with nature, inspiring students to appreciate and understand the importance of forests and their sustainable management.

It would provide a serene and immersive setting for learning, encouraging students to explore, study, and develop a profound sense of stewardship for the natural world.

SOCIAL

Given the prevalence of climate change to date, it encourages environmental awareness and conservation. Natural occurrences like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and flash floods are all happening right now. It is essential to raise awareness of climate change, the value of forests, and environmental preservation because it is a forestry school. The school encourages sustainable forest management techniques, conservation initiatives, and environmental stewardship through educational programs and community outreach annually joining in the tree planting activity and Linis Bayan activity with the MENRO-LGU of Libacao spearheaded by the Supreme Student Government of the school together with the partnership of Libacao Development Cooperative (LDC), the schools stakeholder.

Community members and students participating in tree-planting events, water conservation initiatives, garbage reduction efforts, litter-picking in Libacao Plaza, planting trees as part of the green revolution, and competing in gulayan competitions also help to directly employ locals through faculty and staff positions and contribute to environmental protection.
