The logo bears the name of the institution written permanently in a clockwise direction. It is set on a white background to symbolize purity of spirit. The blazing torch that radiates upon an open book emphasizes the maxim “Knowledge is Virtue” which is a true reflection of the Madalagnon’s innate desire for knowledge. The combination of plain and artistic symbols should be an emblem representing the identity, characteristics, and ideals of the people.
TYPE OF CULTURAL INSTITUTION:
Madalag National High School is a large secondary school. The school is managed by a School Principal, 32 Junior High School teachers, 14 Senior High School teachers, 4 Administrative Assistants, 2 casual Administrative Aides, and 1 MOOE funded Security Guard serving 1,015 learners.
MNHS is currently operating from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The Senior High School level offers the Academic Track - General Academic Strand, and Technical-Vocational and Livelihood Track. Agricultural Crops Production NC II, Tailoring NC II, Dressmaking NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Cookery NC II, and Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
The school continuously embraced improvements in terms of its academic instructions and physical facilities. However, the school has not been spared from major calamities. One of which was the highest flood in the municipality caused by Super Typhoon Frank on June 23, 2008 that had caused major damages in schools properties and records. The school gradually recovered from its nightmare and gradually emerged victorious as years went by.
With its hardworking past and present school heads, notable changes have occurred. The school has currently acquired additional untitled lot donated by the Provincial Government of Aklan with an area of 5,445.20 sq.m. Presently, the school has 29 classrooms including five makeshift classrooms. The school has two (2) ICT Laboratories, one Science Laboratory, one TVL Laboratory, one functional library, and an operating school canteen.
