Biography
Being a public servant in the military profession entails taking personal responsibility and accountability for moral agency, loyalty to one's cause, and dedication to the welfare of society. Colonel Lucero Taladtad Oren was the youngest among the nine siblings of his proud parents Benigno Mendez Oren from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo and Felizarda De Jesus Taladtad from Regador, Ibajay, Aklan. In 1977, he graduated from Regador Elementary School, which was formerly known as Regador Primary School. He was a member of Regador Elementary School's inaugural class. In 1985, he completed his elementary education and his secondary at Ibajay National Agricultural and Industrial School. He further pursued college at the Philippine Air Force College of Aeronautics and took up a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and earned his degree in 1988. He took up his Master's degree at Philippine Christian University. Later that year, he wed Jocelyn L. Anayan, the love of his life and they were fortunate to have three kids, May Angel A. Oren, Leslie Joy A. Oren, and Roy A. Oren of whom two are female and one is male. Significance
(Indicate type of significance, e.g. historical, aesthetic,scientific,social,socio economic,socio-political,spiritual and then explain) Social: Colonel Lucero Taladtad Oren served as the guest speaker during the Regador Elementary School’s Commencement Exercises in the year 2017 where he shared his experiences and techniques on how to become a successful person. He also inspired young people about possibilities in the future as well as broadening their horizons to see the world outside their community. Spiritual: Colonel Lucero Taladtad Oren sponsors the mass as a way of offering appreciation for the blessings received all year long on the 14th of June each year as part of the Regador Barangay & Religious Fiesta in honor of Saint Anthony de Padua. Economic: Education is hampered if classrooms are unsuitable for learning due to bad conditions and some inadequate educational facilities in the school. Regarding this, the school is fortunate to have a very helpful stakeholder like him who is always willing to assist and donate what is required in our school because he believes that fulfilling the needs of the students and the school is an essential condition for achieving the goal of high-quality education.
Historical: He was the first officer of the Philippine Air Force from our barangay.
