II. BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Reinalda Ibabao Magdaluyo is the daughter of the former Vice Mayor of Numancia, Aklan, Mr. Conrado Reyes Ibabao, and Mrs. Panfila Enero Ibabao.

She is married to Mr. Proceso Magdaluyo and blessed with four daughters: Dr. Rhoby Magdaluyo-Fernandez, Doreen Ibabao Magdaluyo (+), Belinda Magdaluyo-Martinez, and Proreilie Magdaluyo-Constantino.

She finished Grades 1-4 for only 10 months. She completed her elementary grades for only three years and graduated when she was only 12 years old at Numancia Elementary School. After three years, in 1951, she finished her secondary education at Madyaas Institute.

She earned her Elementary Teacher's Certificate (ETC) at Aklan College now Aklan Catholic College, in 1953 and became a teacher at the age of 17. In 1965, she earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSEED) at the Philippine Normal University. She became the division demonstration teacher for elementary grades and then started as a Grade II teacher at Kalibo Elementary School, now Kalibo Pilot Elementary School from 1960 to 1961. She acted as an Elementary School Head Teacher for two years and was promoted to Elementary School Principal I and Elementary School Principal II in a span of three years.

In 1968, she earned her Master of Arts in Education, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Major in Guidance and Counseling at Aklan Catholic College. After that, she served as the Public Schools District Supervisor performing other duties in a concurrent capacity: Division Planning Officer, Research Evaluation, and Guidance Coordinator.
For three years, she served as Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of Aklan after passing the Schools Division Superintendent Examination. She became the School’s Division Superintendent of the Division of Capiz in 1988. In 2000, she was transferred as the School’s Division Superintendent of the Division of Aklan before her promotion to the Regional Office in Iloilo City as Regional Director III. She retired as Regional Director III in 2001.

She is a multi-awarded educator, administrator, and teacher.
