Assessment of the Institution
Condition/Status of the Institution
The school has 15 classrooms including School Head’s Office, Clinic, Isolation Room and Observation Room. Out of 15 rooms, 8 rooms are in good condition, 5 rooms need minor repair and 2 rooms need major repair. All classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 6 are well structured and conducive for learning.
Minor repairs are made to every classroom once a year by the school and teachers occupying the classrooms. The entire building was declared safe to be utilized as classroom and free from any hazard and danger for children.
The school has constructed a civic center that would cater school programs and events.
Constraints/Threats/Issues/Challenges:
In the event of disasters like typhoons and floods, five classrooms might be used as an evacuation. The remaining classrooms cannot accommodate evacuees because those are in flood-prone areas. The absence of a perimeter fence at the back, left side and right side portion of the school premise presents another difficulty. The installation of a perimeter fence will increase the level of safety and security for everyone and everything inside the school.
