<h2><b>Narrative Description</b></h2>
 +
'''''Aliputos Elementary School''''' has a land area of 5,234 square meters. Mr. Juaquin Maypa donated the site through Atty. Filemon C. Fernandez, who was the Barangay Captain at that time. The Magnabijon Family donated another portion of the school site.

 +
The school was established in 1937, having one teacher teaching multigrade classes in Grades I and II. A temporary school building was built of light materials like thatched roof from nipa palm, which was vulnerable to strong winds and other weathering factors.  In 1941, Grade I classes were held at Pedro Escalona’s house because of a damaged and leaky roof.  After the Japanese war, they returned to the school site and had classes in one of their buildings. In 1956, the school opened Grades III and IV with two teachers handling multigrade classes. The school was supervised by a teacher-in-charge instead of a principal.  Ms. Patria Macavinta managed Grades I and II, while Mr. Adriano Fuentes was assigned to Grade III and Grade IV. With the help of the Barangay Officials, through the effort of Atty. Filemon Fernandez, who was then the Barangay Captain, the school was converted into a complete elementary school in 1968. Mrs. Almamita Magpusao was the first teacher teaching Grade VI. The Marcos Type Building was the first school building that was constructed under the facilitation of Barangay Captain Filemon Fernandez.

 +
Presently, the school is supervised by Mr. Eddelon C. Bereber, Head Teacher II, and seven regular permanent teachers. AES has three instructional buildings; Marcos Pre-Fabricated School Building, constructed in 1970, is occupied by Grade I, II, and III; Bagong Lipunan School Building Type I, which was built in 1981 and is newly renovated and is occupied by Grades IV, V, and VI. A one-storey building with two classrooms, constructed on December 11, 2017, is occupied by Kindergarten and Office of the Principal. Other structures are the Bagong Lipunan School Building Type II, used as Industrial Arts and was constructed in 2000; Home Economics Building built in 1981; the Computer Room and one unit donated classroom building. The school is enclosed by a concrete perimeter fence with iron grills installed for school, children, and teachers’ security.

Laguinbanua Integrated School, as a center of excellence, has existed for more than a century (105 years to be exact, this year, 2023) to give quality education to youth, molding them to become effective and productive citizens of the community and country. It is located at Barangay Laguinbanua East, Numancia, Aklan, founded on June 12, 1918. Bounded along the National Highway, it has a total land area of 7,340 square meters from different donors and benefactors. Roselo Garcia, popularly known as Maestro Seloy, with his heir Bernardino D. Garcia, donated 5, 278 square meters of land property to start the school. The family of Juanito I. Igtanloc donated an additional lot of 1,000 square meters located in the Southern part of the school on June 9, 1979. On the Eastern side, another 1,000 square meters was donated to the school by Ana C. Abello with her heirs Soledad A. Kimpo, Rizalina A. Rasco, Daniel S. Abello, and Genaro S. Abello. The latest donor was Ernesto De Felipe and his family who donated 62 square meters of lot to the school on April 26, 1995.

After World War II, the school, which was formerly known as the Laguinbanwa Primary School, housed Grades I through IV in the Modified Gabaldon Building. In 1952, the construction of new classrooms for Laguinbanua Elementary School for incoming pupils in Grades V to VI began. Classes were initially held in temporary locations that were private homes before the classrooms were completed. Home Economics classes were held in a temporary building, made of light materials, while Industrial Arts classes were conducted in a shanty. The first graduates from Laguinbanua Elementary School emerged in 1954. Later, the classrooms of the said Modified Gabaldon Building started to deteriorate. The emergence of the new School Site Development Plan (SSDP) gave way to the relocation of the school buildings. The remains were used for some fixtures in the classrooms.

The current school facility features complete classrooms for pupils in Kindergarten through Grade VI. It has a Covered Court, Cultural Stage, Home Economics Building, School Clinic, School Canteen, the Principal's Office, and a Computer Laboratory.

Every structure has a distinct history. The Industrial Arts Building was built in 1967. It was demolished in 2019, to make room for a 2-storey, 4-classroom school building, supported by the 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF). Currently, the Principal's Office and the ICT Room occupy the first floor. The second floor is still unfinished and is awaiting the government's approval of the corresponding budget.

The Marcos Type Building was constructed in 1970. It has three classrooms for Kindergarten, Grade II-Dove, and a Computer Lab. On July 9, 2016, it was completely consumed by fire, along with the P358,452.79 worth of computer packages from the Department of Education's Batch 24 Digitization and Computerization Program. This building was demolished and is now being used as a parking space, in front of the new 2-storey, 6-classroom school building.

The two-storey, six-classroom building was constructed in 2018. The Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) was in charge of funding it, while Jemar V. Isturis, School Principal I, served as its implementor. On May 30, 2022, after a three-year lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, limited face-to-face classes from Grades I (Rose and Dahlia), Grades II (Dove and Maya), and Grades III (Chico and Atis) were conducted in this new building.

The School Canteen and Office of the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) as well as the School's Parent Teacher Association (SPTA) are currently located in the Bagong Lipunan School Building (BLSB), which was constructed in 1980.

A year later, in 1981, the Parents Teacher and Community Association (PTCA), funded the construction of the Cultural Stage utilizing proceeds from the annual Master and Little Miss Christmas popularity contests, and additional cash donations from Dr. Charles Villanueva and former Governor Carlito S. Marquez, now the Congressman of the Eastern District of Aklan.

The historical construction of the Covered Court was first built in 2012. The teaching staff, the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Officers under Catherine Cosipe and Nelmar G. Melgar, and the Alumni Association under Sir Winston Carrillo and the late Sir Richard Vega all worked under the guidance of Jocelyn N. Nillasca, School Principal I. Then, the project continued in 2015 with the help of stakeholders under the supervision of Jemar V. Isturis, School Principal I, in collaboration with the late Sir Richard Vega, President of the Alumni Association, Catherine Cosipe, PTA President, and their representatives. With the help of the Local Government Unit (LGU) led by Governor Florencio "Joven" T. Miraflores, Congressman Carlito S. Marquez, one of the alumni of the school, and Congressman Teodorico T. Haresco, Jr., the project was completed in 2020.

In the year 2000, the resourceful teacher, Mrs. Florence Imperial, solicited from the Parents’ Teachers Association (PTA) and approached her friends and acquaintances. As a result, two classrooms were constructed; but, because of financial constraints, it was not finished immediately. Due to its inclusion in the national government's renovation plan for Grade VI-Pearl and Jade classrooms in 2021, Ma'am Florence Imperial's incomplete classroom is currently a Grade V-Saturn classroom.

The kindergarten class was moved by Ma’am Rovie C. Abello, from the former Principal’s Office (Bagong Lipunan School Board) to the former Grade 1-Rose classroom (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation or PAGCOR). The Bagong Lipunan School Building II was converted into two classrooms.

On August 22, 2022, the Department of Education ordered the reopening of face-to-face classes. The said reopening requires the facilities for the health, safety, and well-being of all schoolers. So, the Bagong Lipunan School Board's old Principal's Office is now a School Clinic and Guidance Office. In addition, there were four thermal scanners, three handwashing stations made possible by donations, and an isolation room, screening area, and triage area directly outside the school because of the pandemic. This school has seen many changes, and is confident that it will continue to develop. Thanks to its stakeholders and successful alumni who frequently return to the school to honor it by promoting the welfare of the learners.

<h2>'''Significance'''</h2>
On July 9, 2016, at around 3:00 AM, the entire barangay Laguinbanua East and West woke up due to the blazing fire coming from the burning classrooms of the school. The spirit of bayanihan was seen again because of the cooperation of everyone to put out the fire immediately but it was too late because three classrooms of the Marcos Building were consumed by fire.
+
Indicate type of significance, e.g., historical, aesthetic, economic, social, political, spiritual and then explain
The saying: behind the dark clouds- the sun shines, is quite true because, in 2018, the school received good news. Two new buildings with 10 classrooms will be built. The Industrial Arts rooms were demolished to make way for the building to be constructed.
+
Economic. As Brigada Eskwela Best Implementer, evident support from the benevolent and charitable stakeholders, organizations, local government units (LGUs), and the community has been remarkable, clear by their voluntary assistance.
The Office of the Principal occupies one of the rooms in the new building. The Computer Laboratory is also situated in the same edifice.
+
Social. The school is the venue of different assemblies and community affairs, whether for recreation or public services. Likewise, the school serves as precincts during local and national elections.

<h3>B. Constraints / Threats / Issues / Challenges:</h3>
Laguinbanwa Primary School was established in June 1918 and is considered one of the oldest schools in the District of Numancia. Visitors can find the monument or statue of Datu Bangkaya in front of the school. The monument signifies that long time ago, people from Borneo settled in this place. The headstone or statue of Datu Bangkaya shows and commemorates the rich history of the barangay, thus, the place will continue to improve in politics, culture, agriculture, tradition, religion, and education for the betterment of our future generations.

Type of Cultural Institution:

Aliputos Elementary School (AES) is a Public Elementary School offering K to 6 program covering Kindergarten to Grade VI of Basic Education. It has a structured educational system delivered by trained and qualified teachers.

Narrative Description

Aliputos Elementary School has a land area of 5,234 square meters. Mr. Juaquin Maypa donated the site through Atty. Filemon C. Fernandez, who was the Barangay Captain at that time. The Magnabijon Family donated another portion of the school site.

The School Land Title was granted on September 12, 2017, through the effort of Dr. Joyce M. Toriaga, School Principal II.
