She continued her secondary education at Antique Vocational High School in Culasi, Antique. She took a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education majoring in General Science at Aklan College presently Aklan Catholic College and graduated in 1968. She passed the Board Examination for Teachers in 1969. She completed her Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Agriculture at Aklan Agricultural College presently at Aklan State University in Banga. Married to Ciriaco Morales Gonzales a retired Postmaster in Lezo, Aklan. They were blessed with five children; namely Joyce Gonzales – Oro a Registered Nurse in South San Francisco, USA, Gretchen Gonzales – Pacheco, an Accountant, also in South San Francisco USA, Sandra Gonzales- Medina a Registered Nurse in New Jersey, USA, Mark Lomugdang Gonzales, a Registered Nurse also at Rural Health Unit-Makato and Celine Gonzales-Legaspi a Registered Nurse in Los Angeles California, USA. | ||

Then, from May 1, 1979, to March 14, 1985, she transferred to Makato Elementary School presently Makato Integrated School. On March 15, 1985, she transferred again to Tugas – Dumga Elementary School as Head Teacher and went back to Calimbajan – Tina Elementary School on September 24, 1990, as Elementary School Principal. She was promoted as School Principal II at Makato Elementary School on June 28, 2004, and made her graceful exit during her forced retirement on July 1, 2006. | ||

Makato Integrated School (MIS) was so lucky to have a School Head whose educational background was handed down by her father to the family as the next generation did not exempt this very important figure featured today.
She is a strong woman and an epitome of beauty inside and out and a public servant which was recorded in the history of MIS who made a lifetime legacy handed down to all young Makaton-ons. She surpassed all challenges and even threats.
