She is the second child and eldest daughter of the six siblings. Miss Corazon Gomez studied at Kalibo Elementary School, then Aklan Academy for high school. She was the recipient of first honor in her first and second year, second honor in her third year, and first honorable mention upon graduation in High School on March, 1964. She studied at the Philippine Normal College (now, Philippine Normal University) for her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSEED) on April 1968. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Education, as Magna Cum Laude at Aklan College on April 1986. She is married to Victor B. Beluso of Pres. Roxas, Capiz, a retired Sheriff, Branch 8 of the Regional Trial Court, Kalibo, Aklan. They have five children. The eldest is Rev. Fr. Mark Randy G. Beluso, a Diocese of Kalibo priest and graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas, Magna Cum Laude. The second child is Melvin G. Beluso, a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation graduate now based in United Kingdom working Dubai Ports in London/ The third child is Lourdes Mae G.
