 Spiritual - the teachers in the District of Batan together with the Batan Elementary School Teachers underwent formation on Basic Formation on Teaching Catechesis given by University of Sto. Tomas (UST), department of Religious Instruction way back 2013. In connection with this the teachers are mandated to teach catechism. The school has a monthly mass where the pupils serve as choir, mass servers to help develop their spirituality.

The school has a concrete pathways, in going to every school building for learners accessibility especially during rainy days. School concrete perimeter fence is not yet complete and the supply for water facilities needs improvement.

 For long years, Batan Elementary School needs replacement for the Marcos Building from the Central Office. The Batan Elementary School Library also needs improvement ( like reading materials, books, electric fans, table and chairs, bookshelves) in order that the learners can research and study well during vacant time. The school site is also prone of floods due to heavy rain and during high tide (back part of school site is along the shoreline), so the drainage is a big problem in school.

 In 1989, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Office of the Regional Technical Director, Land Management Sector, Region VI, Iloilo City ascertained that through survey records that Batan Elementary School used the designated Lot No. 1554 of the Cadastral Survey of Batan. It shows that Lot 1554 was surveyed in the name of the Bureau of Public Schools with an area of 51, 889 square meter as surveyed.
 On December 5, 2012, the Sangguniang Bayan of Batan passed Resolution No. 2012-82 , titled “A Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor to transfer the Ownership to the Department of Education (DepEd) of Lots Declared in the name of the Municipality of Batan where Public Elementary Schools and High Schools are Located by Way of Donation for Educational Purposes”. Moreover, Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2013-12  passed for the following reasons: (1) Because the majority of public elementary schools and high schools in the Municipality of Batan are located in lots declared in the name of the Municipal Government of Batan, the Sangguniang Bayan is giving the Local Chief Executive “blanket authority” to transfer ownership to the Department of Education by way of donating the lots she may deem worthy after proper assessment of the particular application. It is to avoid “meal piece” or repeated requests for authorization, a trait of trust and confidence of the present legislative department to the prerogative of the Local Executive as per request of a particular school.  (2) Further, the Sangguniang Bayan is of the opinion that details of a particular lot to be donated by the Municipal Government of Batan to the Department of Education shall be specified in the Deed of Donation and not in a resolution. (3) Finally, in order for the barangays to receive much-needed financial assistance from Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services( KALAHI-CIDDS),a national government program, the municipality government of Batan must donate lots to the Department of Education, where public elementary and high schools are situated.

 In October 1943, the Japanese forces landed in Batan. The school was closed and had been a silent witness of the fateful days called “Juez de Cutchillo”.
